Introduction

This manual is divided into three parts, each of which is divided into several sections.

The first part forms a user manual:

• Section About PTF
• Section Installation discusses how to download, compile and install ptf-lib for your platform.
• Section Getting started tells you how to generate your first test quickly.
• Section Frequently Asked Questions gives answers to frequently asked questions.
• Section Troubleshooting tells you what to do when you have problems.

The second part forms a reference manual:

• Section Features presents an overview of what PTF can do.
• Section History shows what has changed during the development of ptf-lib and what still has to be done.

The third part provides information for developers:

• Section PTF's Internals gives a global overview of how PTF is internally structured.

PTF is not used by a lot of people yet, and there is always room for improvement. Therefore, We have compiled a todo/wish list of possible and/or requested enhancements. If you got something to be added, contact our mailinglist
